Improvement of blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes
This medication is used in conjunction with diet and exercise to help patients with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar levels. It is particularly prescribed for individuals suitable for combined administration of Empagliflozin and Linagliptin to improve blood sugar control. This helps effectively manage diabetes symptoms.
The recommended starting dose of this medication is 10 mg of Empagliflozin and 5 mg of Linagliptin once daily. If there is tolerance to 10 mg of Empagliflozin and 5 mg of Linagliptin and additional blood sugar control is needed, the dose may be increased to 25 mg of Empagliflozin and 5 mg of Linagliptin once daily. This medication can be administered regardless of meals. The tablet should be swallowed whole. If a dose of this medication is missed, take it as soon as remembered.

This medication may cause a serious metabolic disturbance known as ketoacidosis; if symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal pain, or breathing difficulties occur, seek medical attention immediately. A rare but serious infection known as perineal necrotizing fasciitis has been reported; if pain or swelling in the perineum occurs, immediate medical attention is required. It is advisable to avoid this medication during pregnancy, and nursing mothers are recommended to discontinue breastfeeding.
