Precautions

This medication can cause serious side effects due to confusion between milligrams and milliliters during administration; therefore, the exact dosage must be confirmed. It is advisable to transition to an appropriate analgesic when oral administration becomes possible. Always verify if acetaminophen is included in other medications to avoid overdose. Exceeding the recommended dosage may cause severe liver damage, so special caution is necessary for patients with liver function problems. Symptoms of liver damage typically appear between 2 to 6 days after administration, so if any unusual symptoms occur, immediate treatment should be sought. Patients with severely impaired liver function, chronic alcohol users, or those with liver diseases should only use this after consulting a physician. During treatment with this medication, if any allergic reactions like skin rashes or hives occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and healthcare providers should be informed. Patients allergic to this medication or those with peptic ulcers, severe blood disorders, or serious liver or kidney dysfunction should not use it. Patients with aspirin-induced asthma or on certain medications should also avoid this medication and must consult healthcare providers. Special caution is required for elderly patients, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those with liver or kidney issues, and regular monitoring may be necessary. This medication can interact with other drugs, so if there are any co-administered medications, please inform the healthcare provider. Attention is especially needed when using it alongside certain antibiotics or anticonvulsants, as the risk of hepatotoxicity may increase. Overdose may lead to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and in severe cases, liver failure and coma requiring immediate emergency treatment. When storing, keep at a cool place below 30 degrees Celsius, and do not refrigerate or freeze, and always check for foreign substances or discoloration before use.
