How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet per dose, 2 times a day. Empagliflozin is determined based on each patient's therapy, effectiveness, and tolerability, not exceeding a maximum daily dose of 25 mg for Empagliflozin and 2000 mg for Metformin. Precautions

This medication is used for the treatment of diabetes and acts through two components to regulate blood sugar. This medication should not be used in patients with impaired kidney function or certain severe diseases. Serious side effects such as hypoglycemia, lactic acidosis, and diabetic ketoacidosis may occur during treatment, so if symptoms develop, you must consult a doctor immediately. Patients with reduced kidney function or at risk of fluid loss should regularly undergo kidney function tests and monitor their condition closely. This medication may lead to urinary tract infections or genital infections in some patients, so prompt treatment is necessary when related symptoms occur. It is safe for pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and breastfeeding women to avoid this medication. Elderly patients or those with poor nutritional status are at increased risk of hypoglycemia, so caution is required during use. Alcohol consumption should be avoided while taking this medication, and it should be temporarily discontinued before and after surgery or the administration of contrast agents. When used in combination with other diabetes medications or diuretics, dose adjustment may be necessary to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia or dehydration. During treatment, vitamin B12 levels may decrease, so regular blood tests are recommended for long-term use. This medication is not recommended for children, and elderly patients should adjust the dose based on kidney function. In cases of overdose, serious side effects such as lactic acidosis may occur, necessitating immediate hospital treatment. This medication should be stored in its original container and kept out of reach of children.
