Precautions

This medicine should not be used by patients who are allergic to this drug or its components. In addition, this drug contains lactose, so patients with genetic lactose metabolism disorders should not take it. During the use of this medicine, serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may occur; if symptoms such as hypotension, change in consciousness, difficulty breathing, or rash appear, discontinue use immediately and seek medical assistance. Since there may be a decrease in white blood cells or platelets, if fever, sore throat, feelings of weakness, or bleeding tendencies arise, stop taking the medicine immediately. Liver dysfunction may occur, so if there is yellowing of the skin or eyes, or elevated liver enzymes, discontinue use and take appropriate measures. If respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath arise and interstitial pneumonia or eosinophilic pneumonia is suspected, stop using the medicine and receive appropriate treatment such as steroid therapy. If symptoms such as muscle pain, weakness, or muscle damage occur, stop taking the medicine immediately and seek treatment, and pay attention to possible kidney dysfunction. If hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes, hives, or itching occur, stop taking the medicine and consult a medical professional. Neuropsychiatric symptoms can include tremors, seizures, anxiety, drowsiness, and dizziness, so the state should be monitored carefully. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, or loss of appetite may occur; if symptoms are severe, discontinue use and consult a professional. Cardiovascular symptoms such as arrhythmias, palpitations, or flushing can also rarely occur; caution is necessary. Urinary symptoms such as proteinuria, hematuria, or urinary disturbances may occur, so notify medical personnel if unusual symptoms arise. Additionally, various side effects such as muscle stiffness, weight gain, hair loss, and menstrual irregularities have been reported; if unusual symptoms arise, consult a healthcare professional immediately. This medication is not a drug that immediately relieves asthma attacks, so it should be adequately explained to the patient, and bronchodilators or steroids should be used during an attack. If it shows no effect after long-term use, care should be taken not to continue taking it. This drug is metabolized by a specific enzyme (CYP3A4) in the liver, so taking it with drugs that inhibit or compete with this enzyme may increase blood concentration. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take it when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks, as safety has not been established. Safety in children, newborns, and low-birth-weight infants has not been sufficiently confirmed, so caution should be exercised. Elderly patients may have reduced bodily functions, so caution should be taken, including dose reductions. This medicine should be kept out of reach of children, and care should be taken not to transfer it to another container as it may affect quality.
