This medication is used to relieve various types of pain, such as fever and pain due to colds, headaches, muscle pain, neuralgia, menstrual pain, and sprain pain. It is also effective for toothaches, joint pain, and rheumatic pain. It helps improve different types of pain that patients may experience.

Precautions

This drug can place a burden on the liver, so individuals who drink more than three glasses of alcohol daily must consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If severe rash, blisters, or red spots appear on the skin during the use of this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. The maximum daily dose of acetaminophen contained in this medication must not exceed 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken together with other medications containing acetaminophen. Individuals allergic to this medication or those with a history of peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney diseases, heart failure, or aspirin-induced asthma should not take this medication. Those currently taking barbiturates or tricyclic antidepressants should also refrain from using this medication. Individuals with liver or kidney diseases, blood disorders, tendency for bleeding, asthma, the elderly, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children under 2 years of age must always consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If any abnormal symptoms such as difficulty in breathing, flushing of the face or body, hives, severe vomiting, bleeding, or skin rashes occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. For long-term use of this medication, regular liver function tests and blood tests should be conducted, and it is advisable not to take it together with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use continuously for more than 10 days for pain or more than 3 days for fever; consult a doctor if symptoms persist. Children and the elderly should take the minimal effective dose and be monitored for adverse reactions. In cases of overdose, medical attention should be sought immediately, even if no symptoms are present, and medications to protect the liver may be administered.

Side effects

Hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, rash, mucocutaneous syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis, anaphylaxis, hypersensitivity, asthma attacks, liver damage, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, oral/ocular mucous membrane pain, sudden and severe headaches, seizures, confusion, significantly decreased urine output, extensive severe edema, increased blood pressure

Interactions

Do not use this medication in combination with barbiturates or tricyclic antidepressants. Do not take it together with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if you are on long-term warfarin treatment, or taking lithium or thiazide diuretics.
