This medication is used in conjunction with diet and exercise to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It may also be used alone, but in cases where blood sugar control is insufficient, it can be combined with metformin, pioglitazone, sulfonylureas, or DPP-4 inhibitors to enhance therapeutic effect. In patients with concurrent cardiovascular disease, it should be administered with reference to specialized clinical trial information. This medication effectively improves blood sugar control and aids in diabetes management.
