Treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
This medication is used for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD is primarily diagnosed in patients aged 6 to 65 years, and diagnosis should be conducted carefully according to DSM or ICD criteria. This medication is used as an important part of a comprehensive treatment program that includes psychological, educational, and social therapies rather than as a standalone treatment. Medication is not essential for all ADHD patients and may not be appropriate in cases where environmental factors or other psychiatric disorders are present. Therefore, an appropriate alternative therapy should accompany the evaluation by a specialist, and this medication is prescribed by a doctor when treatment is insufficient. This comprehensive approach improves symptoms of ADHD.

Adults (18-65 years) 72mg/day When prescribing a dose between 18mg and 36mg of methylphenidate, 27mg may be used. No controlled clinical trials have established how long patients with ADHD can use this medicine. However, it is generally accepted that pharmacological treatment of ADHD is needed over the long term. No controlled clinical trials have been conducted to evaluate the efficacy of this medicine with long-term use of more than 7 weeks. When prescribing this medicine to patients with ADHD for long-term use, periodically reassess its efficacy by temporarily discontinuing drug treatment and evaluating the patient's social functioning.
