Precautions

This medication is a penicillin class antibiotic and should not be used in patients with known allergies to specific components or previous hypersensitivity reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics. Caution is required for patients with viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, as the risk of rash is high. Patients with a history of liver function issues should use this medication cautiously as liver dysfunction may recur upon administration. In patients with liver or kidney impairment, the medication concentration may increase, raising the risk of side effects, thus requiring dosage adjustment and changes in dosing intervals. Individuals with allergic tendencies or those prone to symptoms like bronchial asthma or skin rashes should take this medication with caution. Patients with severe vomiting or diarrhea may not absorb the medication properly, necessitating caution. During medication, promptly consult a physician if abnormal symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, rash, or difficulty breathing occur, especially since severe allergic reactions or anaphylactic shock may rarely occur, requiring emergency treatment. This medication can affect the liver and kidneys, thus regular liver and kidney function monitoring is recommended for prolonged use. To prevent antibiotic resistance, it should only be taken for the minimum duration as directed by a physician, and should not be stopped or used long-term indiscriminately. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a physician before using this medication, and especially during the first trimester of pregnancy, it is best to avoid its use. Elderly patients have a higher risk of side effects due to decreased bodily functions, thus requiring careful observation and dosage adjustments. Concomitant use with other medications may cause interactions, thus it is essential to inform healthcare professionals of any currently taken medications. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, allergic reactions, or kidney damage can occur, therefore immediate medical attention is required.
