This medication is effective in controlling blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension and is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. In particular, it can be used as an alternative when it is difficult to take ACE inhibitors. Additionally, it helps reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death due to cardiovascular disease in high-risk patients aged 55 years and older, such as those with a history of coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, stroke, or transient ischemic attack, or high-risk diabetes patients. It plays an important role in improving the cardiovascular health of patients.
