This medication is used to relieve peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It is also utilized as an adjunctive treatment for patients with epilepsy during partial seizures. Additionally, it helps alleviate pain caused by fibromyalgia. Therefore, it is effective in treating various nerve-related disorders.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication, as pregabalin, should be taken orally in divided doses, twice a day, regardless of food. 1. Neuropathic Pain 1) Peripheral Neuropathic Pain The starting dose can be 150 mg per day, which can be increased to 300 mg per day after 3 to 7 days. If necessary, it can be further increased up to a maximum of 600 mg per day at intervals of 7 days. 2) Central Neuropathic Pain

Child dose

There is insufficient data on the safety and efficacy for children under 12 years of age and adolescents aged 12-17 years, so administration is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors; therefore, if symptoms of depression or mood changes occur during treatment, medical personnel should be notified immediately. When this medication is taken together with opioid analgesics, the central nervous system depressant effects may be increased, so caution is required.
