This medicine may cause severe blistering skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, and acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, so if symptoms like blisters on the skin or mucosal damage appear, the use of this medicine should be stopped immediately. Patients with allergies to this medicine or similar antibiotics, or those taking certain medications (terfenadine, astemizole, cisapride, pimodisine, ergot alkaloids, mizolastine) should not use this medicine. Patients with poor liver function or elderly patients, and those using certain antibiotics together face risks of side effects, so caution is advised. This medicine can affect heart electrical signals, so it should be administered cautiously to patients at risk of arrhythmias or those taking certain heart medications. Patients with myasthenia gravis may experience worsening symptoms with this medicine, so it should be used with caution. During use, if sudden allergic reactions, rashes, fever, blood abnormalities, liver function abnormalities, digestive issues (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, etc.), respiratory issues (coughing, difficulty breathing), neurological symptoms (dizziness, drowsiness), sensory abnormalities, hearing or vision impairment occur, consult a doctor immediately. In particular, if severe diarrhea or abdominal pain occurs, it may indicate a serious intestinal disease such as pseudomembranous colitis, so use should be stopped immediately and medical personnel informed. Long-term use may lead to the risk of resistant bacteria and secondary infections, so monitoring is essential, and patients with liver dysfunction should undergo regular liver function tests while adjusting the dosage. This medicine may interfere with the metabolism of other drugs in the liver, potentially increasing blood concentrations of certain medications, so it's crucial to inform the doctor or pharmacist when taking with other drugs. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should use this medication with caution, and nursing mothers should either stop breastfeeding or avoid using this medicine. Elderly patients do not require dosage adjustments, but they may experience dizziness or visual disturbances; caution is advised when driving or operating machinery.
