Improvement of gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastric mucosal lesions (erosions, bleeding, etc.)
This medication is used for various gastrointestinal diseases such as gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease, recurrent ulcers, anastomotic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is also helpful in improving gastric mucosal lesions such as erosions, bleeding, redness, and swelling that occur during acute exacerbations of acute and chronic gastritis. This drug inhibits excessive gastric acid secretion, protecting the gastric mucosa and alleviating symptoms. Therefore, it is effectively used for treating various gastric-related diseases and improving symptoms.
As cimetidine, administer 400 mg orally twice daily (in the morning and at bedtime) or one dose of 800 mg at bedtime. Additionally, administer 300 mg orally four times a day (after meals and at bedtime). The dosage can be increased to 400 mg orally four times daily (after meals and at bedtime) up to a total of 1.6 g. For acute gastritis and acute exacerbations of chronic gastritis, administer 200 mg twice daily or one dose of 400 mg daily.
Administer 20–40 mg per kg of body weight divided orally per day.
