This risk is greater for elderly individuals, those who are obese, individuals with limited mobility, those recovering from surgery, and cancer patients. In cases of prolonged immobility, this medication should be temporarily discontinued, and it should be resumed when the patient can move again. Additionally, during long trips, regular movement should be undertaken to reduce the risk of clot formation. This medication does not thicken the endometrium, but if uterine bleeding occurs while taking it, a healthcare professional should be consulted immediately. Safety for breast cancer patients has not been established, so it is advisable not to use it for the prevention or treatment of breast cancer. Patients with allergies to this medication or its components, those with a history of thrombosis, women who may become pregnant or are breastfeeding, patients with unexplained uterine bleeding, those with symptoms of endometrial cancer, and individuals with lactose intolerance should not take this medication. This medication may increase serum triglyceride levels, so patients with high triglycerides should use it cautiously, and it is not recommended for patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function. While taking this medication, side effects such as facial flushing, leg cramps, drowsiness, dry mouth, skin rash, muscle cramps, swelling, etc., may occur. If symptoms such as vision impairment, eye pain, or eye swelling occur, medical attention should be sought immediately. Caution is required when driving or operating machinery as drowsiness or vision disturbances may occur. This medication has a low potential for drug interactions, but when taken with some medications, the concentration of the drugs may change, so it is necessary to consult a healthcare provider. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not take this medication, and if pregnancy is confirmed during treatment, it should be discontinued immediately. Breastfeeding women should also not use this medication. It should not be used in children, and for elderly patients, special dose adjustments are not necessary, but drug concentrations may be increased due to changes in liver function. In cases of overdose, there is no specific antidote, and treatment should be based on the symptoms.
