Child dose
The safety and efficacy data for pediatric patients under 12 years of age and adolescents aged 12-17 years is insufficient; therefore, administration is not recommended.

This medicine is used to treat peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It also helps as an adjunct in patients with epilepsy, whether secondary generalized symptoms are present or not, for partial seizures. Additionally, it is used to treat fibromyalgia, contributing to pain relief. This drug is effective in improving the symptoms of various neurological disorders.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken orally without regard to meals, divided into two doses daily. 1. Neuropathic pain - Peripheral neuropathic pain: Initial dose of 150 mg/day may be increased to 300 mg/day within 3 to 7 days, and if needed, may be further increased up to a maximum of 600 mg/day at intervals of 7 days. - Central neuropathic pain: Initial dose of 150 mg/day may be increased to 300 mg/day after one week.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors; therefore, any occurrence of depression or mood changes during use should be reported to a healthcare professional immediately. Diabetic patients should be cautious of weight gain and fluctuations in blood sugar, and adjustments to glycemic control medications may be necessary. If severe allergic reactions such as angioedema occur, discontinue use immediately. Elderly patients should be aware of the risk of falls or injuries due to dizziness or drowsiness. Blurry vision or changes in vision may occur; if these symptoms appear, consult a physician.
