Effect of supplying fluids and nutrients through intravenous nutrition.
When patients are unable to receive sufficient nutrition through oral intake or gastrointestinal tract, this product provides necessary fluids, electrolytes, amino acids, and calories intravenously. This method effectively supplements required nutrients in the body, aiding in the improvement of nutritional status. Therefore, intravenous nutrition is used to prevent nutritional imbalances and support recovery.
Dosage and infusion speed are determined based on fat removal and glucose metabolism capacity, and the dosage and bag size are adjusted according to the patient's condition and nutritional needs. - Patients with normal nutritional status or mild metabolic stress: Amino acids at 0.7 to 1.0 g/kg (0.10 to 0.15 g nitrogen/kg) per day. - Patients with moderate to severe metabolic stress: Amino acids at 1.0 to 2.0 g/kg (0.15 to 0.30 g nitrogen/kg) per day via drip infusion.
