Adult dose
For adults and children aged 12 years or older or weighing 40 kg or more, administer Amoxicillin/Potassium Clavulanate 250 mg/125 mg orally every 8 hours, three times a day. In cases of severe infections or respiratory infections, the dose may be increased to 500 mg/125 mg. For those with kidney impairment, dosage adjustments should be based on creatinine clearance as follows: - Creatinine clearance 10 - 30 mL/min: 25 mg of Amoxicillin is administered every 12 hours.
Child dose
Children receive dosage reductions as per adult protocols.

This medication is used to treat various infectious diseases caused by different bacteria. It is effective for respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It also helps treat urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis, as well as sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea. It is also used to treat bacterial infections in various sites including skin and soft tissue infections, osteomyelitis, and dental infections. These infections are caused by various bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Streptococcus pneumoniae, and this medication is effective against resistant strains, including those producing beta-lactamase. It is used to treat infections caused by a wide range of bacteria.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults and children aged 12 years or older or weighing 40 kg or more, administer Amoxicillin/Potassium Clavulanate 250 mg/125 mg orally every 8 hours, three times a day. Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients.
