Improvement of essential hypertension
Essential hypertension refers to a condition where blood pressure remains chronically elevated, and this medication helps to control blood pressure and reduce the burden on the cardiovascular system. By managing hypertension, it contributes to the prevention of serious complications like stroke and myocardial infarction. Regular use can help maintain stable blood pressure. This medication dilates blood vessels, improves blood circulation, and reduces the burden on the heart. It can maximize effect when used in conjunction with other treatments. This medicine is used for the treatment of essential hypertension.
The recommended initial dose is 10mg once daily, taken regardless of meals. If blood pressure is not adequately controlled, the dose can be increased to 20mg once daily. The maximum dose can be increased to 40mg once daily. Blood pressure lowering effects appear within 2 weeks after starting treatment, with maximum effects occurring in about 8 weeks. If blood pressure is not controlled with this medication alone, it can be combined with thiazide diuretics. For patients over 65 years of age
The safety and efficacy in children have not been established.
