Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to specific ingredients or beta-lactam antibiotics. Caution is necessary for patients with viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, as the risk of rash may increase. Patients with a history of liver dysfunction or jaundice should be careful as this medication may worsen liver function. Patients with liver impairment should use this medication with caution as liver function may deteriorate further. Patients with moderate to severe renal impairment may experience increased plasma concentration of the drug, requiring adjustment of dosing intervals. Patients with allergic constitutions or those with bronchial asthma, urticaria, etc., should be cautious as allergy reactions may occur when taking this medication. Elderly patients or those in poor general condition, and patients who have difficulty with oral intake may be at risk of vitamin K deficiency, and caution is needed. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases such as vomiting or diarrhea may insufficiently absorb the medication and should use it cautiously. Gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain may occur, and serious conditions like pseudomembranous colitis can develop; if symptoms appear, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a doctor. Liver dysfunction or jaundice symptoms may occur rarely, particularly in elderly and male patients, so regular liver function tests are necessary. Skin rashes, itching, and severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome can occur; if these symptoms appear, discontinue medication immediately. Blood tests may show leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, etc., rarely, so testing is needed for any abnormal symptoms. Central nervous system adverse symptoms such as drowsiness, headache, and seizures may occur, especially in patients with decreased kidney function. Acute renal failure or interstitial nephritis may develop, so renal function should be monitored regularly. Bleeding tendencies due to vitamin K deficiency may arise, so any bleeding symptoms should be reported to medical personnel immediately. This medication may interact with other drugs; especially if the patient is taking anticoagulants, anti-inflammatory drugs, oral contraceptives, or immunosuppressants, they should consult a physician or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should preferably avoid using this medication during the first three months of pregnancy, and caution is needed during breastfeeding as side effects may appear in the baby. Children under 12 years of age or weighing less than 40 kg have limited experience of use, so it is not recommended for them. Elderly patients may have an increased risk of side effects due to diminished physiological function, so dosage and intervals should be adjusted cautiously while monitoring their condition. While taking this medication, it is important to regularly check liver function, kidney function, and blood test results to take prompt action if abnormalities occur. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, renal failure, seizures, allergic reactions, etc., may occur, so if suspected, visit a medical institution immediately for appropriate treatment. Store the medication in a sealed container to avoid moisture and keep it in a dry place below 25 degrees Celsius to maintain its efficacy.
