Ketus Tablet (Levodropropizine)

Adult dose

Adults: Administer 60 mg of levodropropizine per dose orally 3 times daily, at intervals of at least 6 hours. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to symptoms.

This medicine should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to this medicine or its components. Patients with increased bronchial mucus secretion should not take this medicine. It should also not be administered to patients with a specific disease called ciliary dysfunction. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should not take this medicine. Patients with severely impaired liver function should also not use this medicine. This medicine contains lactose, so it should not be given to patients with a genetic problem that prevents lactose digestion. Additionally, special caution should be exercised when this medicine is used in patients with severely weakened hearts or significantly impaired kidneys, as well as in infants under 2 years of age. Possible gastrointestinal symptoms may include nausea, dyspepsia, diarrhea, and vomiting. CNS effects may include fatigue, weakness, stupor, headache, and dizziness. Symptoms of rapid heartbeat may also occur. Very rarely, skin allergic reactions may occur. Additionally, severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis have been reported rarely. This medicine may sometimes cause a state of confusion, so caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery. These symptoms may be exacerbated by concomitant alcohol consumption. Extra caution is required when taken with sedatives. This medicine must not be used by women who are pregnant or nursing. This medicine should be stored out of the reach of children, and transferring it to another container should be avoided as it may deteriorate the product quality.
