This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which is broken down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take this medication. The daily intake of aspartame should be controlled to remain below the WHO recommended amount, and should not exceed 2.4g per day for an adult weighing 60kg. Additionally, patients who have previously experienced severe allergic reactions or shock after taking this medication should not use it. This medication contains lactose, and patients with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should avoid taking it. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity or allergies to penicillin antibiotics, asthma, or skin rashes should use this medication with caution. Patients with severely impaired kidney function may have delayed elimination of this medication, requiring special attention. Additionally, patients who have difficulty in oral administration, the elderly, or those in poor general condition may also exhibit vitamin K deficiency symptoms, necessitating close observation of their condition. This medication may rarely trigger severe allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis; if symptoms occur, administration should be immediately discontinued, and medical consultation sought. If skin rashes, urticaria, itching, or fever occur, stop taking the medication and receive appropriate treatment. Gastrointestinal side effects such as severe colitis, diarrhea, and abdominal pain can also occur rarely; discontinue use and consult a physician if symptoms appear. Respiratory symptoms, blood abnormalities, central nervous system symptoms, severe skin reactions, and abnormalities in liver and kidney function have been reported; if these symptoms occur, promptly inform medical personnel. When using this medication, it is advisable to take it only for the minimum necessary duration to prevent antibiotic resistance, and thorough medical history and skin reaction tests are recommended in advance to prevent allergic reactions. Dizziness may occur during administration, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. When taking for more than 10 days, it is necessary to check white blood cell counts through blood tests. In particular, patients with reduced kidney function need careful dosage adjustments; incorrect dosing can lead to seizures. Severe skin adverse reactions may occur, so skin condition should be closely monitored, and if abnormal signs appear, discontinue taking the medication immediately. This medication may pose a risk of renal function deterioration when used with diuretics or aminoglycoside antibiotics, so it should be used with caution. Additionally, co-administration with probenecid may reduce the elimination of this medication, leading to increased blood concentration. When taken with drugs that influence gastrointestinal pH changes, absorption rates of this medication may vary, requiring caution. During pregnancy, the safety of this medication has not been established; it should only be used when the benefits outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers are advised to stop breastfeeding. It is preferable not to use this medication in neonates, premature infants, or infants under 2 months of age, as safety has not been confirmed. The elderly may have diminished physiological functions, making them more susceptible to adverse reactions, and there is also a risk of bleeding due to vitamin K deficiency, necessitating close observation and adjustment of dosage and intervals. This medication may influence the results of some clinical tests; caution is needed in interpreting test results.
