This medicine is used to treat peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults and is also used as an adjunct in the treatment of partial seizures in epilepsy. It also helps alleviate the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Overall, this drug is used to improve various symptoms associated with neuropathic pain.

How to take

Adult dose

This drug is taken orally in two divided doses daily, independent of food. 1. Neuropathic Pain - Peripheral Neuropathic Pain: Starting dose of 150 mg per day; can increase to 300 mg per day within 3 to 7 days, and further increase to a maximum of 600 mg per day after intervals of 7 days if necessary. - Central Neuropathic Pain: Starting dose of 150 mg per day.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy data are insufficient for children under 12 years of age and adolescents aged 12-17, therefore administration is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors; therefore, if there are any changes in mood or symptoms of depression during treatment, you should consult a doctor immediately.
