Precautions
This medication is a bronchodilator that is to be used only twice daily. It must not be used for emergency treatment during acute bronchospasm. This medication can rarely cause paradoxical bronchospasm, leading to sudden constriction of the airways, so if such symptoms occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately and alternative treatments should be sought. Its use is not recommended for patients with asthma due to the increased risk of serious complications. The drug contains anticholinergic components, thus patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary retention, or angle-closure glaucoma should use it with caution. These individuals may experience exacerbated symptoms and should consult a physician. Patients with allergies to glycopyrrolate, formoterol, or any excipients of this medication should not take it. Patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function, cardiovascular diseases, seizure disorders, hyperthyroidism, hypokalemia, and hyperglycemia should use this medication carefully. Side effects may include anxiety, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, urinary tract infections, muscle cramps, chest pain, and in rare cases, hyperglycemia, insomnia, heart palpitations, tremors, and allergic reactions. As this medication can affect the cardiovascular system, if symptoms like increased heart rate or high blood pressure appear, consultation with a physician is advised. Caution is warranted, as the effects of this medication may be intensified when used in combination with other anticholinergic agents or beta-2 agonists. Pregnant or breastfeeding women must consult a physician before using this medication, as it may affect the fetus or infant. In case of overdose, symptoms may include blurred vision, dry mouth, tremors, headache, and palpitations, and immediate medical attention is required. This medication is for inhalation use only, and correct inhalation techniques must be practiced and followed. It should be shaken well before use, and when used for the first time or after a long interval without use, it should be appropriately primed before administration. Store in a tightly sealed container to avoid exposure to air or moisture. The storage temperature should be maintained between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius, and it should not be kept near high heat or flames. The solution container should not be damaged or transferred to another container.
