Those with an allergy to this medication or its ingredients, those who have experienced asthma, infants under 3 months, and those taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics should not take this medication. It is also safer not to take it concurrently with cough medicines, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines during use. Children who have or are suspected to have chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergies, and those with chronic diseases such as liver or kidney disorders, and heart disease should consult with a healthcare professional before use. If any unusual symptoms like skin rash, nausea, dizziness, or difficulty breathing occur after taking, it is essential to stop taking the medication and consult with medical staff immediately. Children under 2 years old should generally not take it unless in special circumstances, and adult supervision is required for children taking this medication. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and be cautious not to use it for an extended period, while also avoiding alcohol consumption. Drowsiness may occur during use, so it is safer to avoid driving or operating machinery. Symptoms of anaphylaxis including hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, and paleness. Severe skin reactions with high fever, severe rash, blisters, peeling skin, or mucosal pain in the mouth/eyes. Respiratory issues accompanied by asthma attacks, cough, and fever. Liver issues evidenced by yellowing of the skin or eyes, severe fatigue throughout the body. Severe headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, and other serious neurological symptoms.

Interactions

Do not take this medication with other products containing acetaminophen, MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anti-Parkinson's drugs, etc.), cough suppressants and expectorants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, antihistamines in oral preparations (oral agents for rhinitis, motion sickness medications, allergy medications). Also do not take with diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, or tricyclic antidepressants.
