This medication is used to treat infections caused by various bacteria. It is primarily effective for complicated skin and soft tissue infections, pneumonia acquired in the community, and acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. It is also used to treat acute sinusitis, chronic bacterial prostatitis, complicated urinary tract infections, and simple urinary tract infections. However, as it is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, this medication is used with caution, considering the risk of serious adverse reactions, when no other treatment options are available. It helps to appropriately improve and treat the infections based on the patient's condition.

Patients should immediately discontinue use and consult a doctor if pain, inflammation, or symptoms of tendon rupture occur while taking this medication. Patients with myasthenia gravis or those who have had hypersensitivity reactions to this medication or similar drugs should not use this medication. Administration is also prohibited in children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, patients with epilepsy, and those with certain genetic conditions. Patients with severely impaired kidney function, those with central nervous system diseases or a history of seizures, and elderly patients should be more cautious when using this medication.
