In the case of renal impairment, dosage should be adjusted according to creatinine clearance. - For creatinine clearance 30 mL/min or more: no adjustment needed.
Child dose

This medication is effective against various bacterial infections. It improves respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, lobar pneumonia, empyema, and lung abscess. It is also used for tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. Furthermore, it helps treat urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, as well as pelvic infections and gonorrhea. It is effective for skin issues such as boils, abscesses, soft tissue infections, wound infections, and osteomyelitis. It is widely used for dental infections, contributing to the improvement of various infections. Overall, this medication is useful for treating bacterial infections.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication is a penicillin-class antibiotic and should not be used in patients with specific allergic reactions. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillin or beta-lactam antibiotics, those with infectious mononucleosis, lymphocytic leukemia, and a history of liver dysfunction should avoid this medication. Caution is necessary for patients with impaired liver or kidney function, those with allergies, the elderly, and malnourished patients, as dosage adjustments may be required. An allergic reaction or anaphylaxis may occur, so observe the patient's condition closely after administration, and rapid emergency care is needed in urgent cases. The risk of resistant bacteria may increase with prolonged use, so it should be used only for the minimum necessary period based on susceptibility testing, particularly if treated for more than 14 days. This medication may interact with other drugs; inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using adjunct medications, and patients on anticoagulants should have their blood monitored. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding must consult a physician before using this medication, and especially avoid use during the first three months of pregnancy. It is recommended to use this medication only in children aged 12 years or older or weighing over 40 kg. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more readily due to decreased bodily functions, so should use with caution. This medication may affect some urine or blood test results; inform your healthcare provider about its use when undergoing tests. In cases of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, electrolyte imbalances, and acute kidney failure may occur, requiring immediate cessation of the medication and emergency treatment, including blood dialysis if needed. Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe allergic reactions, severe rash with high fever, blistering, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes, severe skin reactions, difficulty or shortness of breath, asthmatic attacks, respiratory issues accompanied by cough and fever, breathing problems, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), severe lethargy, liver dysfunction (jaundice), sudden.

Mild side effects

Diarrhea, pseudomembranous colitis, dyspepsia, stomatitis, gastritis, glossitis, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, constipation, colonic pain, hyperacidity, soft stool, xerostomia, acute pancreatitis, candidiasis, colitis, blood in stool, itching, erythema multiforme, skin rash, serum sickness-like symptoms, bronchospasm, symptoms of blood pressure drop, thrombocytopenia, anemia, elevated platelet count, bone marrow suppression, prolonged bleeding time and prothrombin time, vaginal.
