How to take

Adult dose

This medication is to be taken orally without regard to meals, divided into two doses daily. 1. Neuropathic pain - Peripheral neuropathic pain: The starting dose is 150 mg per day, which can be increased to 300 mg per day after 3 to 7 days, and may further increase to 600 mg every 7 days. - Central neuropathic pain: The starting dose is 150 mg per day, which can be increased to 300 mg after one week.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been adequately established in children under 12 years of age and in adolescents aged 12 to 17 years, hence its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior, so if there are any changes in mood or behavior during treatment, consult a doctor immediately. Do not take this medication if you have an allergy to any of its components or specific genetic lactose intolerance. Diabetes patients should be cautious as they may gain weight after taking this medication, which might require adjustments to their blood sugar control medications.
