Precautions

This medication helps regulate the body's fluid balance. When taking this medication, you should drink water only as much as you feel thirsty, as excessive fluid intake can lead to severe hyponatremia or fluid overload, causing serious coma. Patients with allergies to this medication or with specific kidney diseases, heart failure, or habitual nocturia should not take it. Additionally, this medication should only be used for nocturia patients with normal blood pressure, and those with specific genetic issues such as lactose intolerance should also avoid taking it. Patients with hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney disease, pregnant women, children, and the elderly, as well as those at risk of electrolyte imbalance, should use this medication cautiously. During treatment, serious side effects such as weight gain, headache, coma, and seizures may occur, so if these symptoms appear, you should consult a doctor immediately. Fluid intake should be restricted from 1 hour before taking this medication to 8 hours after, and should be more strictly limited for those with impaired kidney function. Individuals over 65 years of age are at increased risk for developing hyponatremia, so sodium levels should be monitored regularly from their blood. Additionally, before taking this medication, it is necessary to record the frequency and amount of urination for at least two days to accurately assess the severity of nocturia. If dehydration or electrolyte imbalances are expected due to acute infections, fever, gastrointestinal inflammation, etc., this medication should be discontinued. This medication does not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. This medication may interact with other drugs, so care should be taken when used with tricyclic antidepressants, diuretics, corticosteroids, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and sodium levels and fluid status should be monitored regularly. During pregnancy, it should only be used when necessary due to the risk of uterine contractions, and breastfeeding should be discontinued as the drug may pass into breast milk.
