How to take

Adult dose

For adults, in cases of severe infections and respiratory infections, administer 2 tablets at a time, twice a day every 12 hours orally. In patients with renal impairment, the dosage may be reduced according to the level of renal function. In cases of severe renal failure (glomerular filtration rate ≤ 30 mL/min), this drug should not be administered.

Precautions

This drug is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins. Patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia are at higher risk of rash and should be monitored carefully. Patients with a history of liver dysfunction or jaundice should also be reviewed carefully before using this drug. Patients with impaired liver function or moderate to severe renal impairment may require adjustment of the dosing interval or dosage. Caution is needed for individuals with allergic tendencies. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea may prevent proper absorption of the drug, so care should be taken. This drug may cause side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain in the gastrointestinal tract, and rarely, may cause pseudomembranous colitis or acute pancreatitis. Hepatic dysfunction symptoms may also appear, which are more common in the elderly or in patients undergoing long-term treatment. Allergic reactions may manifest as skin rashes, itching, and in severe cases, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, etc., so if any unusual symptoms occur, administration must be stopped immediately. Rare cases of leukopenia, anemia, and thrombocytopenia have been reported as blood disorders, while central nervous system symptoms may include headache, dizziness, and seizures. Patients with decreased renal function are at risk of kidney damage, necessitating regular check-ups, and they also need to be cautious of bleeding tendencies due to vitamin K deficiency. This drug may interact with other medications, particularly requiring caution when used concurrently with anticoagulants, probenecid, allopurinol, etc. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should be cautious when using this drug, especially during the first three months of pregnancy when administration should be avoided if possible. Children aged 12 or older or weighing 40 kg or more are only recommended for use; there is limited experience in younger children, thus caution is required. Elderly patients may experience more side effects due to decreased physiological function, so dosage and administration intervals should be adjusted and monitored. In cases of overdose, serious symptoms such as gastrointestinal symptoms, renal failure, seizures, and hypersensitivity shock can occur, so administration should be stopped immediately and appropriate medical treatment should be sought. This drug should be stored in a dry place below 25 degrees Celsius, and the treatment duration and dosage must be strictly followed as directed by a physician.
