This medication is used to treat peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It is also used as an adjunct in the treatment of partial seizures in patients with epilepsy, and helps alleviate symptoms of fibromyalgia. Therefore, it is an effective drug for the treatment of neuropathic pain, epileptic seizures, and fibromyalgia.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

This medication is administered orally in divided doses twice a day without regard to food. 1. Neuropathic Pain - Peripheral Neuropathic Pain: Starting dose is 150 mg once daily; may increase to 300 mg once daily within 3–7 days, and if needed, may further increase to a maximum of 600 mg at intervals of 7 days. - Central Neuropathic Pain: Starting dose is 150 mg once daily; after 1 week, may increase to 300 mg once daily.

Children's dosage

Precautions
