For usually healthy adults, ciprofloxacin should be taken orally as a single dose of 250-500 mg, twice daily between meals. This medication is used to treat various bacterial infections. It is effective for respiratory infections excluding acute bronchitis and community-acquired pneumonia, and is also used for ear, nose, and throat infections. Additionally, it is applicable for urinary tract infections such as bacterial prostatitis, acute simple cystitis, and acute pyelonephritis, as well as gonococcal cervicitis and urethritis, gastrointestinal infections, infections of the bile duct, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, gynecological infections, and peritonitis. However, since it is a fluoroquinolone, it should be used cautiously only when there are no other treatment options available for acute bacterial rhinosinusitis, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, and simple urinary tract infections. This drug is effective for the treatment of these various infections.

How to take

Precautions
