Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with allergies to the active ingredient or excipients. Patients who have previously experienced an allergic reaction to this medication should also avoid its use. It should not be given to patients with congenital immunodeficiency or those taking immunosuppressants or antimetabolites for acquired immunodeficiency. If there is acute fever or gastrointestinal disease, the administration of this medication should be delayed until symptoms are fully resolved. This medication contains lactose, so it should not be taken by individuals with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. The phthalate component of the capsule coating may pose potential risks to underweight children or adults, so careful administration is required for those weighing less than 20 kg. Common side effects that may occur after taking this medication include headache, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, and fever. Rarely, sensory disturbances, dizziness, dermatitis, itching, urticaria, weakness, fatigue, chills, joint pain, muscle pain, and hypersensitivity reactions may be reported. When receiving vaccinations, hygiene should be observed, and special caution is needed regarding food and water consumption in areas where typhoid fever is endemic. This medication may reduce effectiveness when taken with most antibiotics, sulfonamides, and certain antimalarials, so they should not be used together and should be spaced at least one week apart. The effects on a fetus or newborn are not well known, so pregnant or breastfeeding women should carefully consider the benefits and risks before taking this medication. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been sufficiently confirmed for children under 5 years old and seniors over 65 years old. No specific symptoms have been reported in cases of overdose, but it is important to adhere to the recommended dosage.
