Generally, after a few days of intravenous administration, it can be switched to oral administration depending on the patient's condition. Precautions

This medication is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic and can cause serious side effects such as tendonitis or tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, central nervous system disorders, and exacerbation of myasthenia gravis. If any of these symptoms occur, immediately discontinue use, and patients with a history of myasthenia gravis should not use this medication. It is used restrictively for specific infections such as acute bacterial sinusitis, acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. When administered as an injection, it should be slowly infused for at least 30 to 60 minutes according to the dosage, and if blood pressure decreases abruptly during infusion, it should be stopped immediately. The risk of tendon rupture increases when this medication is used with corticosteroids, so co-administration should be avoided, and if pain or inflammation occurs, use should be discontinued, and rest should be taken. Caution is necessary for patients with epilepsy or central nervous system disorders as seizures or central nervous system symptoms may occur. Allergic reactions may manifest as hives, difficulty breathing, or anaphylactic shock, so if skin rashes or allergic symptoms appear, it must be stopped immediately. Gastrointestinal side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and less commonly, hypoglycemia or pseudomembranous colitis may occur. Central nervous system side effects may include headache, dizziness, anxiety, hallucinations, and in severe cases, suicidal thoughts, so any abnormal symptoms should be reported immediately. Cardiac-related side effects may include tachycardia, hypotension, and QT interval prolongation, so caution is needed for patients with heart disease. Musculoskeletal side effects may include arthralgia, tendonitis, and tendon rupture, especially for elderly patients or those with renal impairment who require dosage adjustments. Abnormal liver and kidney function, as well as blood abnormalities, have been reported, so regular monitoring may be necessary. This medication may cause sensitivity to sunlight, so strong sunlight or UV exposure should be avoided, and caution should be taken when driving or operating machinery due to possible dizziness or drowsiness. It is not used in pregnant or potentially pregnant women, nursing mothers, or growing children and adolescents. There may be drug interactions, so especially consult with healthcare professionals when taking it with anticoagulants, diabetes medications, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, etc. In case of overdose, central nervous system symptoms and cardiac abnormalities may appear, so immediate contact with a medical institution and appropriate treatment is required. During storage, protect from direct sunlight and maintain packaging; use as soon as possible after opening.
