Precautions

This drug is a cephalosporin antibiotic and should not be administered to patients who are allergic to this class of drugs. Caution is necessary for patients with a history of allergy to penicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics and individuals with a family history of asthma or skin rashes. Patients with severely impaired kidney function, those who cannot take oral medications, the elderly, or those in poor overall condition should use this drug with caution due to the risk of bleeding caused by vitamin K deficiency. While taking this drug, mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain may occur, and rarely, serious allergic reactions such as skin rashes, hives, or anaphylaxis may happen, so it is crucial to consult a physician immediately if any unusual symptoms occur. During antibiotic use, excessive proliferation of Candida or pseudomembranous colitis may occur, so if diarrhea or abdominal pain persists, discontinue treatment and seek medical attention. This drug may cause dizziness, hence care should be taken when driving or operating machinery. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use this drug with caution, and special care is necessary for children and the elderly. Concomitant use with other medications may affect kidney function, especially with diuretics or certain antibiotics, so follow medical advice closely during concurrent use. In case of overdose, convulsions may occur, so caution is required, and it should be stored out of reach of children.
