This medicine is used to relieve peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. Additionally, it serves as an adjunctive treatment for partial seizures in epilepsy patients, whether or not accompanied by secondary generalized symptoms. It is also effective for pain relief caused by fibromyalgia. In other words, it is used for neuropathic pain, adjunctive treatment of partial seizures in epilepsy, and treatment of fibromyalgia.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is taken orally without regard to food, divided into two doses per day. 1. Neuropathic pain - Peripheral neuropathic pain: Starting dose of 150 mg per day, and can be increased up to 300 mg per day within 3 to 7 days, with further increments of up to 600 mg spaced seven days apart if necessary. - Central neuropathic pain: Starting dose of 150 mg per day, increased to 300 mg per day after one week.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior, so patients should inform their doctor or caregiver immediately if they experience symptoms of depression, mood changes, or unusual behavior during treatment.
