Child dose
There is insufficient safety and efficacy data for pediatric patients under 12 years and adolescents aged 12-17 years, thus administration is not recommended.

This medication is used for the treatment of peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It is also utilized as an adjunct for partial seizures in patients with epilepsy. Additionally, it is effective in the treatment of fibromyalgia. It helps improve symptoms of various neurological disorders.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is taken orally divided into two doses per day regardless of food. Neuropathic pain (peripheral and central neuropathic pain): Initiate with a dose of 150 mg per day, with possible increments to 300 mg per day after 3 to 7 days based on patient response and tolerance, and a maximum of 600 mg per day. Epilepsy: Initiate with a dose of 150 mg per day, then after one week may increase to 300 mg per day, or later.

Child dose

There is insufficient safety and efficacy data for pediatric patients under 12 years and adolescents aged 12-17 years, thus administration is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior, so if there are signs of depression or mood changes during treatment, you should consult a doctor immediately. If you are allergic to any component of this medication, you should not take it, nor should it be administered to patients with certain hereditary metabolic disorders. Patients with diabetes should be cautious as weight gain may require adjustments in blood sugar control medications.
