Child dose

This medication is used to relieve peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It is also used as an adjunct in the treatment of partial seizures in patients with epilepsy. Additionally, it is effective in treating fibromyalgia. It is widely used for various pain and disorders related to the nervous system.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered orally, divided into two doses per day, regardless of food. 1. Neuropathic pain Peripheral neuropathic pain: The starting dose is 150 mg per day, which can be increased to 300 mg per day within 3 to 7 days, and if necessary, increased up to a maximum of 600 mg per day in 7-day intervals. Central neuropathic pain: The starting dose is 150 mg per day, increased to 300 mg after a week.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy data are insufficient for patients under 12 years of age and adolescents aged 12 to 17, thus administration is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors, so if symptoms of depression or mood changes occur during treatment, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is required.
