This medication is effective for the disinfection of the oral cavity and is used to treat inflammatory diseases such as pharyngitis and laryngitis. It also helps in recovery through disinfection after oral surgery or tooth extraction and alleviates bad breath symptoms. Therefore, it is used to improve inflammation and infection in the mouth and to maintain oral health.
Apply a suitable amount several times a day.
This medication is a throat spray liquid, primarily containing povidone iodine. People who should not use this medication include those allergic to this medication or its ingredients, individuals with thyroid dysfunction, children under 6 years of age, and those receiving radioactive iodine therapy or around the time of such treatment. Additionally, individuals with severe oral ulcers, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers must consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. This medication contains an ingredient called propylene glycol, so individuals allergic or sensitive to this substance should use it with caution. If skin rashes or severe allergic reactions, oral irritation or sores, nausea, etc., appear during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Moreover, skin dermatitis, angioedema, pneumonia, and thyroid dysfunction symptoms may occur rarely, so if these symptoms appear, consult medical personnel immediately. This medication must be used according to the specified dosage and method, and supervision by a guardian is required when used by children. It should only be applied to the oral cavity, and vigorous rinsing should be avoided until bleeding has stopped after tooth extraction. Thyroid scintigraphy for diagnosis and this medication should be spaced at a 4-week interval, and caution is required as thyroid function may change during the use of this medication. If severe symptoms such as sudden itchiness, swelling, chest tightness, pallor, coldness of the hands and feet, cold sweat, and shortness of breath occur after use, immediate medical attention is required. Using this medication in excess may cause symptoms of iodine toxicity, so caution is advised and any contamination on clothing should be washed off immediately with water. If this medication is accidentally ingested in large amounts or gets into the eyes, appropriate measures should be taken immediately. Avoid contact with jewelry, especially silver products, and consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve or worsen. When storing this medication, keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store it in its original container tightly closed. Heat should not be applied before use, and transferring the contents to another container should be avoided as it may cause accidents or degradation in quality.
