Patients with heart disease or cardiovascular risk factors must confirm their heart condition before engaging in sexual activity, and if any heart-related symptoms occur during sexual activity, they must stop immediately and inform a doctor. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours while taking this medication, immediate medical assistance should be sought, as untreated conditions may result in penile tissue damage and permanent loss of erectile function.
