Precautions

This medication is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and before taking it, the doctor should thoroughly check the patient's health condition. Care is especially needed for those with heart disease, blood pressure issues, or bleeding problems. Sexual activity may put a strain on the heart, so patients with cardiovascular diseases must consult a doctor before using this medication. If symptoms such as chest pain, palpitations, or dizziness occur during or after sexual activity, stop immediately and inform a doctor. This medication can rarely cause an erection lasting more than 4 hours or painful erections; if these symptoms occur, seek medical attention immediately. Failure to treat can lead to penile tissue damage and permanent erectile dysfunction. Patients taking other nitrate medications or antihypertensives should consult their doctor before using this medication, as it may pose a risk for excessively low blood pressure. Patients who regularly take nitrate medications should not use this drug at all. Patients with a history of myocardial infarction, unstable angina, heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension or hypotension, or recent stroke are prohibited from using this medication. Additionally, those with genetic retinal disorders or allergies to this medication's ingredients should not use it. This medication should be used cautiously in cases of penile deformities or certain blood disorders, and dosage adjustments may be needed when combined with other antihypertensives, certain antifungals, or antibiotics. Common side effects of this medication include headaches, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, flushing, and are usually mild or temporary. Rarely, serious allergic reactions, vision or hearing loss, and cardiovascular symptoms have been reported, so inform a doctor if unusual symptoms arise. This medication is not for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, or adolescents. While this medication does not significantly affect driving or operating machinery, caution is advised as dizziness or drowsiness may occur. In case of overdose, seek medical attention immediately; dialysis is not effective for removing this drug. Store in a place out of reach of children, keeping it in its original packaging.
