Prevention and improvement of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal, perennial) and sinusitis (acute, with polyps)
This medication is used to relieve the symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children over 2 years of age. For patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis, it can be taken prophylactically 2 to 4 weeks before the start of pollen. Additionally, it is effective for the treatment of sinus polyps in adults over 18 years of age. It is also used for the treatment of acute sinusitis in adults and adolescents over 12 years old without severe bacterial infection.
Allergic rhinitis: Spray twice in each nostril once daily (total daily dose 0.2 mg). If symptoms are relieved, the dosage can be reduced to once in each nostril (total daily dose 0.1 mg). If symptoms are not relieved, the dosage can be increased to a maximum of four times in each nostril once daily (total daily dose 0.4 mg), and dosage reduction is recommended as symptoms improve. Polyps: Spray twice in each nostril once daily.
Allergic rhinitis: Spray once in each nostril once daily (total daily dose 0.1 mg).

Particularly, symptoms such as nosebleeds and nasal mucosal irritation, headaches, and upper respiratory tract infections have been reported relatively frequently, and in rare cases, severe allergic reactions such as bronchospasm or anaphylaxis may occur. Caution is necessary when using high doses for long periods, as systemic steroid side effects may appear, and if a nasal infection or injury occurs, use should be stopped immediately and treatment sought. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should carefully consider the potential risks and benefits of this medication, and growth monitoring is needed in children due to the potential for growth delay. This medication can interact with other drugs, especially when used with CYP3A4 inhibitors, which may increase the risk of systemic side effects. Before use, shake the container well and spray as directed, taking care not to spray directly into the eyes or the septum.
