This medication is effective against various bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Shigella, and Salmonella, and is used for respiratory infections (excluding acute bronchitis), community-acquired pneumonia, ear, nose, and throat infections, bacterial prostatitis, acute pyelonephritis, and complicated urinary tract infections. It is also effective for treating various infections such as gonococcal cervicitis, gastrointestinal infections, biliary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, gynecological infections, and peritonitis. However, due to the characteristics of fluoroquinolones, it should only be used when there is no alternative treatment for certain mild infections (such as acute bacterial rhinosinusitis and exacerbation of chronic bronchitis), and the risk of serious adverse reactions must be considered. This medication is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.
