Dosage

In severe cases, an intramuscular or intravenous infusion dose of 600–1200 mg per day is administered. For treatment over several days or in mild cases, an intramuscular or intravenous infusion dose of 300–600 mg per day is administered.

Precautions

This medication may rarely cause severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis, so the patient's condition should be closely monitored during use. If symptoms such as facial pallor, low blood pressure, or irregular pulse occur, drug administration should be stopped immediately. Additionally, hypersensitivity symptoms such as skin rash may occur rarely, so it is important to stop administration if such symptoms appear. It may affect the gastrointestinal tract, leading to decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain; therefore, any unusual symptoms should be reported. As this medication is a vial preparation, it must be used immediately after preparation, as prolonged storage may decrease its efficacy. When administered intramuscularly, care should be taken to avoid nerves or blood vessels, and it is safer to change the injection site if repeated injections are necessary.
