Improvement of gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastric mucosal lesions (erosion, bleeding, etc.)
This medication is used for ulcers occurring in the stomach and duodenum, gastroesophageal reflux disease, recurrent ulcers, anastomosis ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It also helps improve gastric mucosal erosion, bleeding, redness, and swelling caused by acute or chronic gastritis exacerbations. This medication effectively improves gastrointestinal health by reducing damage to the gastric mucosa and alleviating symptoms for the patient.
For cimetidine, administer 400 mg orally twice a day (morning, bedtime) or 800 mg once a day at bedtime. Additionally, administer 300 mg orally four times a day (after meals, bedtime). The dosage may be increased to 400 mg orally four times a day (after meals, bedtime) (total 1.6 g). In cases of acute gastritis or acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis, administer 200 mg twice a day or 400 mg once a day.
Administer 20 to 40 mg per kg of body weight daily, divided into oral doses.
Care should be taken when using this medication in injection form as glass fragments may enter when opening the glass ampoule, especially for children and the elderly. Individuals allergic to this medication or its ingredients, those taking certain antiarrhythmic drugs, and those with a genetic issue digesting lactose should not use this medication. Patients with poor kidney or liver function, history of drug allergies, elderly individuals, children under 19 years, and patients undergoing hemodialysis should use this medication cautiously and should verify the presence of malignancy as it could mask symptoms of gastric cancer before use. Using this medication may lead to various side effects such as decreased blood cell counts, liver and kidney function abnormalities, allergic reactions, endocrine issues, digestive disorders, neurological symptoms, heart rhythm abnormalities, severe skin reactions, etc. If any abnormal symptoms occur, immediate consultation with medical personnel is advised. If there is no therapeutic effect, other treatment methods should be considered, and especially for the elderly or those with a history of peptic ulcer disease, regular monitoring of the condition is necessary. This medication may interact with various other drugs, so if you are taking any other medications, be sure to inform your healthcare provider, as dosage adjustments or discontinuation may be required. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, and breastfeeding mothers should avoid using this medication since it is excreted in breast milk. The safety for children has not been adequately established, thus it should only be used when absolutely necessary, and for the elderly, the dosage may need to be reduced or the dosing interval extended due to decreased kidney function. In case of overdose, serious side effects such as respiratory depression may occur, necessitating immediate emergency treatment, and for injection forms, it should be administered slowly to reduce the risk of side effects. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and care should be taken not to transfer it to another container as this may lead to a decline in quality or accidents.

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to prevent air or moisture from entering. The appropriate storage temperature is room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
