Patients who have experienced severe heart disease or stroke within the past six months, those with severe hypotension or uncontrolled hypertension, and those with specific eye conditions should not use this medication. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours, immediate medical attention is required to prevent permanent damage. Medications containing aspartame, an artificial sweetener, are not suitable for patients with phenylketonuria. Patients with allergies to this medication, those who regularly take nitrate medications, patients with severe liver or kidney failure, those under 18 years of age, and women should not use this medication. Patients whose sexual activity may pose a risk to their heart should also avoid this medication, and concomitant use with other erectile dysfunction treatments is unsafe. Caution is advised when this medication is used in patients with penile deformities, bleeding disorders, elderly patients, and those with diabetic retinopathy, as the risk of adverse effects may increase with high doses. During use, symptoms such as headache, flushing, dyspepsia, dizziness, visual disturbances may occur, and these symptoms are usually temporary. This medication can cause visual disturbances or dizziness while driving or operating machinery, so caution is required. When taken with alpha-blockers, there is a risk of hypotension, so dosing intervals should be adjusted and immediate consultation with a doctor is needed if symptoms occur. Taking this medication with food may delay the onset of effect, so the timing of ingestion should be considered.
