This medication is used for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and adults aged 6 years and older. ADHD is a condition characterized by symptoms such as inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that begin before the age of 7 and interfere with social and academic functioning. Diagnosis is made according to DSM-IV or ICD-10 criteria, and symptoms must persist across multiple settings. This medication is used as part of a comprehensive treatment program alongside psychological, educational, and social treatment and is not necessarily required for every patient. It is important to have an appropriate diagnosis and evaluation, as the symptoms may not be suitable for ADHD if they are due to environmental factors or other mental disorders. Therefore, this medication is used to effectively improve ADHD symptoms.
