This medication is used for the treatment of peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It is also used as an adjunctive treatment for partial seizures in adult patients with epilepsy. How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken orally, divided into two doses per day, regardless of food. 1. Neuropathic pain - Peripheral neuropathic pain: initial dose 150 mg per day, may be increased to 300 mg per day 3 to 7 days later, may be further increased to a maximum of 600 mg per day at intervals of 7 days if needed. - Central neuropathic pain: initial dose 150 mg per day, may be increased to 300 mg after one week

Precautions

This drug, as an anticonvulsant, may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors, so patients should inform their healthcare provider if they experience depression or mood changes during treatment. Patients with known allergies to any of the ingredients in this drug or those with lactose intolerance should not take it.
