View approved original text

This medication is used in the treatment of essential hypertension. It is also effective in improving symptoms in patients with heart failure, especially those classified as NYHA class II to IV, who are intolerant to ACE inhibitors. It helps reduce the risk of death in clinically stable patients with left ventricular failure or impaired left ventricular function after myocardial infarction. Therefore, it is used to stabilize blood pressure, alleviate heart failure symptoms, and reduce the risk after myocardial infarction.
