Prevention of asthma and relief of allergic rhinitis symptoms
This medication helps to prevent the occurrence of asthma and aids in continuous treatment. It also alleviates symptoms of allergic rhinitis that may appear seasonally or throughout the year, thereby improving respiratory health.
This medication should be taken once daily, however, asthma patients should take it in the evening, and allergic rhinitis patients should determine the timing of administration based on their condition. Patients with both asthma and allergic rhinitis should take 1 tablet in the evening once daily. This medication should be administered 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.
Children aged 6 to 14 should chew 5 mg of Montelukast once daily. This medication should be administered 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.
This medication is used to prevent and control symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis. During treatment, psychiatric disturbances may occur, so if symptoms such as restlessness, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, or suicidal thoughts appear, inform your doctor immediately. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, so patients with phenylketonuria should avoid it. Patients who cannot digest lactose should also avoid this medication. Various adverse reactions such as fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, cough, and rash may occur, so if symptoms are severe, consult with a healthcare professional. This medication is not suitable for the treatment of acute asthma attacks, and a separate medication should be used in emergency situations. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid these medications while taking this drug. During pregnancy, it should be taken only when necessary, and caution is also necessary during breastfeeding. Children and the elderly can also take this medication, but due to differences in dosage and precautions by age, it should be taken under the direction of a physician. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so appropriate treatment should be given according to symptoms. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers. Do not stop or reduce the dose of other asthma medications arbitrarily while taking this medication, and if symptoms worsen, be sure to consult a doctor.
