How to take

Patients with both asthma and allergic rhinitis should take 1 tablet in the evening once daily. This medication should be administered 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.

Child dose

Children aged 6 to 14 should chew 5 mg of Montelukast once daily. This medication should be administered 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.

Precautions

This medication is used to prevent and control symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis. During treatment, psychiatric disturbances may occur, so if symptoms such as restlessness, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, or suicidal thoughts appear, inform your doctor immediately. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, so patients with phenylketonuria should avoid it. Patients who cannot digest lactose should also avoid this medication. Various adverse reactions such as fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, cough, and rash may occur, so if symptoms are severe, consult with a healthcare professional.
