Precautions

This medication is used to treat hepatitis B virus; abrupt discontinuation may lead to a severe worsening of hepatitis, so caution is required. Individuals allergic to this medication or sensitive to any of its components should not take it. Patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should not use this medication. This medication should not be used in conjunction with other tenofovir-containing drugs or adefovir preparations. Patients with impaired kidney function should undergo renal function tests before taking this medication, and renal function should be monitored periodically during treatment. Particularly, caution is warranted when taken with drugs that may burden the kidneys, as there is an increased risk of kidney damage. This medication may also impact bone health, so patients at risk of osteoporosis or fractures should consider bone density tests. If pain in bones or muscles persists during treatment, consult a healthcare provider immediately. This medication should be used in conjunction with other appropriate treatments for patients co-infected with HIV and hepatitis B, and HIV testing is recommended before treatment. Pregnant women can use this medication safely; however, they must consult a physician before taking it. Nursing mothers should avoid breastfeeding, as the components of this medication can be transferred to breast milk. Special caution is required when giving this medication to children and the elderly, especially as the safety and efficacy have not been established in children under 12 years of age. In cases of overdose, seek immediate medical treatment; this medication can be partially removed through hemodialysis. When storing this medication, keep it in a sealed container to protect it from air and moisture, store at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C, out of reach of children, and keep it in its original container.
